After years of playing second fiddle, Zhang Ziyi has assumed her rightful place at the top of this list.
First, she was matched against Michelle Yeoh in “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” in one of the best babe sword fights of all time.
Next, she met up with Maggie Cheung in “Hero” in another amazing duel.
She drew with Michelle and lost to Maggie, but she came out on top on this list. That’s due to the volume of her work — she was also incredible in “The House of Flying Daggers”, “The Warrior”, and “Rush Hour 2” — as well as her stunning good looks.
She shows no sign of slowing down, so here’s to hoping she reigns at the top of this list for years to come.

Inevitably, one man’s list of fifty hot sword fighting babes leads to another man’s outcry of “I can’t believe he left off Kristy McNichol – she was so hot in The Pirate Movie!”
And, of course, this list may need to be updated next year when Rose McGowan stars in the Robert Rodriguez remake of Red Sonja.
