Here’s the third installment in Spyderco’s popular “skeletonized” blades, similar to the now-discontinued Q and R models.
Fortunately, Spyderco didn’t spend its entire S-project budget on looks alone. It’s got an impressive list of resilient features that would keep any potential buyer caught in its web.
The blade is crafted from genuine 440C stainless steel, measuring 1/8 inches thick and 2.5 inches long. It’s only 3.5 inches long when it’s closed. It’s also very light, weighing in at just 2 ounces.
Speaking of closure systems, this S model closes via a nested compression lock system, incredibly tough by today’s standards. The intricately web-carved, finger-grooved handle is made from resilient black Almite, complete with a reversible tension wire pocket clip that can swivel around to either side.
It’s available in silver or black.
This “S” a genuine piece of artwork in terms of both functionality and design. You’re not going to find another knife like this! Until the “T” comes along, of course.
