It’s my personal opinion that no one should go anywhere without a pocket knife. Victorinox certainly shares my philosophy, and they have come out with a line of knives designed to fit an overlooked niche: the corporate workplace.
The Victorinox Executive — aimed at those working the daily grind in office buildings and cubicles – is a small, elegant knife with a variety of tools you would expect to come in handy from a Monday morning meeting to a weekend company picnic.
The Executive is equipped with two sizes of stainless steel blades, scissors, nail file with nail cleaner, orange peeler, flathead screwdriver, tweezers, toothpick, and key ring attachment. All this comes in a slim, classic red handle that stretches about 3-inches long.
This is a pretty standard tool assortment for a small Victorinox like this one. The only odd tool that seems to distinguish this as a “corporate” pocket knife is the orange peeler, which is a pretty lame tool if you ask me.
It would seem natural to incorporate a computer memory stick into this design, since every corporate office employee is probably using a computer everyday, but for some reason the folks at Victorinox didn’t think of this. Strange, since they do offer a line of pocket knives with this feature: the SwissMemory, with options of 512 MB, 1 GB, or 2 GB.
