The last thing anyone thinks of, when heading off for the first tee, is the quality of their golf tool. But consider that golf is a game of focus, and it’s the little things that can affect your round’s score. Being unable to find a ball marker could destroy the concentration needed for your next putt. Being unable to remove the dirt from your club face could leave you with a lack of control on your approach to the green. And, if you play like me, being unable to remove the cap off a beer might mean your swing comes off too mechanical. Whatever the things that disturb your golf game, the Victorinox Swiss Army Golf Tool is here to fix them.
The stainless steel implements include a drop point blade, divot/green repair tool, tee punch/groove cleaner/nail file, bottle cap lifter, and scissors. Also included are tweezers and a toothpick. The ball marker, emblazoned with the Swiss shield, attaches and removes from the handle for easy locating. This is all designed in a relatively thin pocket knife form.
However, a couple things to consider: the groove cleaner is made of stainless steel. Usually, if you have nice clubs, the thought of scraping metal against the club is akin to running a rake over your first born child’s face. I would have liked to see a small nylon brush on this golf tool, but that would only add to the bulkiness, and one of the most attractive aspects of this tool is its slender style. Also, the ball marker has a tendency to remove itself in your pocket when not in use.
