It’s all in the name. This Victorinox Swiss Army pocket knife is designed to manage the various situations which arise at midnight, or any time and place with less than lackluster lighting. A very handy red LED light offers pretty good illumination when you need it most. A retractable ballpoint pen comes out just below the light which is perfect for taking down short notes. At just 2.25-inches in length, the various stainless steel tools include a drop point, straight-edge blade, scissors, a nail file with flathead screwdriver tip, and bottle cap lifter with a wire stripper and magnetic Phillips-head tip (fits eyeglass screws).
The model shown here has a very stylish translucent sapphire handle, but the Midnight Manager is also available in a translucent ruby. With its key ring attachment, this small knife would make an attractive key chain piece, and the light is a great help to guide your keys into the keyhole when visibility is low. One thing about the light: it is extremely helpful when using the pen, the knife blade, or the scissors, but the nail file, cap lifter, and screwdriver tips face opposite the LED light when opened.
Overall, this knife will serve nicely for its intended purpose of light-duty tasks. I would not choose this knife to survive in the wilderness, but if I need to sharpen a marshmallow stick around a fire of cozy embers on a new moon, the Midnight Manager will be the knife I reach for.
